Command Car with Activity

Snapshot.
In the background, a Dodge Command Car with convertible top. Circa 1945? The vehicle has unit markings. Maybe someone will know what and where.
Man in the foreground has some kind of weird headgear. I thought he might be a beekeeper, but that doesn't make sense for a soldier, does it?

Sailor

Found snapshot of a sailor in front of the Salvation Army

Diving Crew

A salvage crew, perhaps. One man is posing with the dry suit headgear on. He looks like some kind of space alien. Click on the picture for an enlargement.

Two Men on a Buckboard

Wow. This one is interesting. It's a tintype or ferrotype, so it goes back to the late 19th century--say, about 1880. In the background, an L&N RR (Louisville and Nashville Railroad) boxcar. •Here• is a link to the Wikipedia site about that railroad. The letters on the boxcar are reversed because of the •particularities• of the tintype process. Click on the words in bold type above to see more info. Click on the image for enlargement.

Girl on the Fire Escape

Another mystery pic. Cute little girl, probably taken in the 1950's or early 60's. Heaven knows where the shot was taken, but it definitely looks like a big city in the background. Strong grunge factor here.

Unknown Baseball Guys

I've had this old photo around for a long time. Don't know who these guys are, or where they are...but the "W" on their jerseys ought to tip somebody off. Then there's the guy with "TC" on his jersey. This makes one think of the Minnesota Twins, but I think the photo is too old for the Twins.  How about the Washington Senators, or the Nationals? Click on the photo for an enlargement.

Buggy

Leisure activities. Perhaps things have changed a bit since whenever this was taken. I'm guessing the 1930's.

Mr. Dog

Yeah, it's a dog. The photo is kind of old. Maybe early 20th century?

Mr. Shadd?

Hi.
Sluggish posting frequency alert.
This is an old photograph of Mr. John Dennis Shadd or maybe it's "Shedd". Hard to tell--the writing on the back is fudged. Click on the pic to see it larger.

Chalk Cliffs

Chalk Cliffs. That's what it says on the back. Possibly the Dover cliffs along the English Channel.

Memento Mori

Antique stereo card. I believe the image is a work of  florist's art for a wake or funeral.
